It’s repetition of Model Town tragedy

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday called for across the country challenges against government's privatization and tax assessment approaches and portrayed the Karachi episode as a rehash of the Model Town occurrence.

"We will hold dissents on February 6 in all areas against privatization and hostile to individuals tax collection arrangements of the administration," Khan reported.

"I'm taking part myself in the dissent since this vote based fascism is pounding the regular man," he said.

Khan denounced the utilization of power against the dissenting representatives of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). Three PIA representatives were murdered and numerous injured in a conflict with law implementation organizations close to the Karachi air terminal. "What happened in Karachi today is a rehash of the Model Town catastrophe," Khan said, alluding to the police activity at Minhajul Quran Secretariat where 14 individuals were killed.
