ISLAMABAD: Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Thursday invited Mustafa Kamal to appear before the inquiry team of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), probing the allegations levelled by Sarfaraz Merchant against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and its leadership. "I invite to all whosoever have any information or evidences including intelligence departments, public and Mustafa Kamal to share them with FIA to take the case to its logical end in a legal way," he said while addressing a news conference here at the Punjab House. Besides, the Sindh government had been asked to share all related information and previous reports of joint investigation teams, he added. The inquiry team, he said, would probe the allegations including money laundering, criminal activities and funding by Indian agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). He said FIA had summoned Sarfaraz Merchant to appear before the inquiry committee to record his statement along with relevant evidences. However, if Sarfaraz would not be able to come to Pakistan, FIA would request the Britain government for access to him, other accused and interaction with the Scotland Yard, he added. The minister said the FIA team had contacted Sarfaraz 'indirectly' and he said that he would decide future course of action in consultation with his legal team. "It is we, who initiated Dr Imran Farooq murder case, money laundering issue and shared information with the Britain government," he said and questioned that why the critics did not ask for the action when the MQM was in coalition with previous government. He expressed the firm resolve to move forward the case in a logical and legal way to uphold the principle of justice and fair-play.
