IG Sindh Ghulam Hyder Jamali removed from post ISLAMABAD: The Federal government has removed Inspector General Police (IGP) Sindh Ghulam Hyder Jamali from his post on Saturday. Allah Dino Khawaja has been appointed as the new IG Sindh Police, according to a copy of the notification issued by the Establishment Division. Khawaja had been serving as Additional IG (special branch) and was also a member of an inquiry committee, along with Additional IG (counterterrorism) Dr Sanaullah Abbasi and Additional IG Naeem Shaikh, which set up to probe illegal appointments. On Thursday, Jamali conceded before the three-judge SC bench that out of the 12,000 appointments made in the Sindh Police, 5,000 appointments were illegal.
